Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a wide range of music and singing classes across Foundation and BA (Hons) courses.
• Support the Head of Music in maintaining high standards of teaching and student welfare.
• Participate in curriculum development and review processes.
• Act as a Personal Tutor and contribute to student pastoral care.
• Mark and assess student progress through practical and written assessments.
• Take part in audition processes and external events.
• Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and priorities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in teaching singing and music at a professional or higher education level.
• Strong understanding of musical theatre and performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Commitment to student welfare and development.

Preferred

• Experience in curriculum development or teaching at a higher education level.
• Familiarity with assessment and marking practices in performing arts.
• Experience in pastoral care or student support roles.
• Knowledge of equality and diversity initiatives in education.
