As a Special Educational Needs Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with special educational needs and ensuring they receive the highest quality of education. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with special educational needs.
  • Coordinate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with special educational needs and adjust support plans as necessary.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on inclusive teaching practices and special educational needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and interventions.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that values the needs of all students.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure the school’s policies and practices align with the needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Stay up to date with current best practices and legislation related to special educational needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • The ability to teach to GCSE standard.
  • Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • The ability to coach and motivate colleagues to achieve individual and collective targets.
  • Experience of innovation and creativity to engage, enthuse and progress learners.

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership role within education.
  • A proven track record of success in improving standards and raising pupil outcomes.
  • Experience working in a school with a leadership specialism.
