The Opportunity:
As a Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe, clean, and secure learning environment. This position is essential for the smooth operation of the school and requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a commitment to health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Supervise the site and cleaning team to maintain a clean and secure environment for students and staff.
- Develop and implement a 5-year plan for premises management in collaboration with the Business Manager and Principal.
- Audit and supervise contractors, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Ensure the effective management of the site budget and resources.
- Coordinate with the Business Manager on projects to improve the learning environment.
- Maintain site security and manage the opening and closing of the academy.
- Support the Principal and Business Manager in delivering a progressive and safe learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Previous experience in a Site/Facilities Manager role.
- Strong knowledge and experience in health and safety management.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and develop long-term plans for premises.
- Experience in contractor management, including auditing and supervision.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with statutory compliance and project management.
- Experience in education or similar environments.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing health and safety policies.
