The Opportunity:

A Teaching Assistant (Part-Time, Temporary) is needed to support KS1 children in a dynamic and inclusive school setting. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners and contribute to a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective learning experiences
• Assist in planning and delivering activities tailored to the needs of KS1 children
• Work closely with pupils to promote independence and confidence in their learning
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of children, including those with special educational needs
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and pupils
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and observations
• Use ICT confidently to support teaching and learning

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
• Experience working in a primary school setting
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues
• Patience, calmness, and a positive, enthusiastic approach to working with children

Preferred

• Experience supporting children with special educational needs
• Confidence in using a range of ICT tools
• Experience in summarising and presenting pupil observation data
