As a Sixth Form Student Manager, you will play a key role in supporting students and helping them achieve their academic and personal goals. This position is ideal for those looking to gain experience in student leadership and make a real impact in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support a group of students, acting as their main point of contact and providing guidance.
  • Work closely with the Sixth Form Progress Leader to ensure high standards of behaviour and academic performance.
  • Promote independent learning and help students set and achieve ambitious personal goals.
  • Provide professional leadership and support to students in their year group.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure a consistent and positive learning environment.
  • Support students in preparing for higher education and future career pathways.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and well-being on a regular basis.
  • Encourage and foster a culture of aspiration and achievement among students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate students effectively.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • A relevant qualification or experience in education or youth work.

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
  • Knowledge of Sixth Form education and progression pathways.
  • Experience with teaching or supporting students in a school environment.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education practices and strategies.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £32,344– £34,324 per annum.
  • 36 hours per week with 40 weeks of employment.
  • Additional 1-hour contractual overtime per week.
