Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the curriculum for Business, Economics, and Politics at Key Stage 5
• Inspire and motivate students to engage with key concepts and theories in these subjects
• Foster critical thinking and analytical skills among students
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to enhance teaching and learning
• Support the professional development of teaching staff within the department
• Monitor and assess student progress to ensure high standards of achievement
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that reflects the school’s values
• Organise and deliver departmental events, trips, and enrichment activities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies, Economics, and/or Politics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire students
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Commitment to continuous professional development

Preferred

• Experience in a leadership or management role within an educational setting
• Experience with teaching at Key Stage 5
