As Head of Business, Economics & Politics, you will lead and develop the curriculum for these subjects at Key Stage 5. This role is ideal for someone passionate about social sciences and eager to take on leadership responsibilities while making a meaningful impact on student learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the curriculum for Business, Economics, and Politics at Key Stage 5
- Inspire and motivate students to engage with key concepts and theories in these subjects
- Foster critical thinking and analytical skills among students
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to enhance teaching and learning
- Support the professional development of teaching staff within the department
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure high standards of achievement
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that reflects the school’s values
- Organise and deliver departmental events, trips, and enrichment activities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies, Economics, and/or Politics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership or management role within an educational setting
- Experience with teaching at Key Stage 5
- Familiarity with curriculum development and assessment strategies
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
