The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that challenge and engage students across all ability levels.
  • Support students in achieving excellent results, with a strong track record of success in GCSE and A Level exams.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver a rigorous and innovative Maths curriculum.
  • Participate in the school’s CPD programme and contribute to evidence-based teaching practices.
  • Engage students in extra-curricular Maths activities, including competitions and enrichment opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student progress and wellbeing.
  • Support the development of new teachers through mentorship and professional guidance.
  • Contribute to the school’s digital strategy and use of technology in teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths and the ability to teach to A Level.
  • Experience in teaching Maths to high-achieving students.
  • Commitment to professional development and evidence-based teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively within a supportive department.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching Further Maths.
  • Background in using digital resources and online platforms for teaching and learning.
  • Experience in leading or supporting extra-curricular Maths activities.
  • Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
