The Opportunity:
A Social Science Teacher is needed to inspire and educate students in Criminology, Health & Social Care, or Sociology. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and experienced educator who is passionate about delivering high-quality post-16 education and supporting student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Criminology, Health & Social Care, or Sociology.
- Support students in developing critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of the school’s curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and achievement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
- Support the school’s mission and values through active involvement in the learning community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject specialism.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 5 Criminology, Health & Social Care, or Sociology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.
- Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering post-16 education.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience with supporting students in a sixth-form setting.
- A passion for fostering a love of the social sciences.
