The Opportunity:

A Speech and Language Therapist is needed to join a growing team and deliver impactful support to neurodiverse young people. This role offers the chance to lead social communication groups, run LEGO®-Based Therapy sessions, and provide 1:1 interventions, making a real difference in students’ lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver social communication groups (SaLT-led) to support student development
  • Conduct and lead LEGO®-Based Therapy sessions to enhance communication and social skills
  • Provide 1:1 interventions tailored to individual speech, language, and communication needs
  • Complete assessments, reports, and contribute to EHCP input and progress reviews
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to create communication-friendly classroom environments
  • Support service development and innovation within the SaLT team
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and interventions
  • Work flexibly across a range of delivery models including withdrawal sessions and in-class support

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist with 2+ years of experience
  • Completion of RCSL Qualified Practitioner competencies
  • Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience working with neurodiverse young people, including those with autism

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering social communication and group-based interventions
  • Familiarity with LEGO®-Based Therapy and other alternative communication methods
  • Interest in service development and innovative practice
  • Experience with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP)
