Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver bespoke assessments and intervention plans in collaboration with teaching staff
  • Manage a small caseload of pupils with speech and language needs
  • Support staff through training, consultation, and reflective practice
  • Work closely with the Clinical Lead and SENCo to ensure effective communication strategies
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with student goals
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students regularly
  • Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure consistent support for students
  • Stay updated with current research and best practices in speech and language therapy

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Registered member of RCSLT and HCPC
  • Hold a professional Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent
  • Completed SALT NPQ Status
  • Experience working with children and young people with ASC and SEMH needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices
  • Experience with collaborative working across multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with developing and delivering training to staff
