Summary:

Sport Centre Assistant Manager needed to support daily operations and customer service at a school's Sport Centre and Pool.

The Opportunity:

As a Sport Centre Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations of the Sport Centre and Pool, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the Duty Managers. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about sports and fitness and wants to make a difference in a welcoming and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Sport Centre Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Sport Centre and Pool.
  • Provide excellent customer service to members and visitors during evenings and weekends.
  • Manage bookings, set up equipment, and ensure the facility is maintained to a high standard.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Duty Managers and assist in their responsibilities when required.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the Sport Centre and Pool areas.
  • Promote sports and fitness activities to members and the wider school community.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and positive user experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a customer service or sports management role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Basic knowledge of sports and fitness equipment and operations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards.

Preferred

  • Experience in managing bookings or event coordination.
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
  • Familiarity with fitness and wellness programs.
