Sports Coach job opportunity with 20 hours per week, including Saturday sessions.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Sports Coach to support the delivery of high-quality coaching across a variety of sports. This role is ideal for someone with a specialism in Cricket or other major sports, and who is passionate about developing students at all levels of ability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality coaching sessions in a range of sports, including Cricket, Rugby, Hockey, Netball, Rowing, and Tennis.
  • Support and develop students of all abilities through structured and engaging coaching programmes.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sport to ensure the successful delivery of afternoon Games sessions and extra-curricular activities.
  • Contribute to the school’s success in County, Regional, and National competitions.
  • Assist in the implementation of the Strength & Conditioning programme for students.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment that promotes enjoyment and sporting excellence.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance the overall sporting experience for students.
  • Uphold the school's values and ethos in all aspects of coaching and student interaction.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience of playing or coaching to a high standard in one of the school’s main sports.
  • Enthusiasm and self-motivation to coach and develop students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and ethos.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays, as required.

Preferred

  • Level 2 coaching award or equivalent in at least one of the school’s main sports.
  • Umpiring qualification in a relevant sport.
  • Experience in working with young people in a sporting environment.
  • Knowledge of Strength & Conditioning principles and practices.
  • Experience in delivering extra-curricular sporting activities.
