The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the school
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all financial transactions
  • Maintain and update financial records in accordance with school policies and legal requirements
  • Support the School Business Manager and Headteacher in financial planning and reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
  • Monitor and control spending to ensure compliance with financial guidelines
  • Collaborate with external auditors and financial advisors as required
  • Provide clear and concise financial reports to key stakeholders

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within the education sector
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and compliance requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational organization
  • Knowledge of school-specific financial regulations and reporting standards
  • Experience with budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
