The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dance Teacher to join our Performing Arts department and inspire students through creative expression and personal development. This is a permanent role with the potential for full-time employment and additional benefits for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality dance education to students across a range of abilities and age groups.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum requirements and promote student creativity.
  • Encourage student confidence, self-expression, and personal growth through dance.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and departments to enhance the Performing Arts programme.
  • Participate in the school’s “Brighter Futures” programme, providing students with opportunities beyond the classroom.
  • Support the school’s commitment to inclusion, innovation, and student wellbeing.
  • Contribute to extra-curricular activities, including productions and performances.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant dance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of dance techniques, styles, and performance practices.
  • Experience working with students aged 11-18.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet curriculum standards.
  • Commitment to student development and personal growth.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching dance within a school or educational setting.
  • Familiarity with the “Brighter Futures” programme or similar extra-curricular initiatives.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or other relevant subjects.
  • Ability to teach PE or Science in addition to Dance.
