The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and prepare sports surfaces for use, including cricket, rugby, football, hockey, and tennis.
Assist in the regular upkeep and repair of turf and playing areas.
Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments as required.
Monitor and report on the condition of sports facilities.
Participate in weekend and occasional evening work as needed.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored.
Collaborate with other members of the grounds team to meet operational goals.
Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

No formal qualifications required, but a strong interest in sports turf maintenance.
Willingness to learn and commit to an 18-month fixed-term contract.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
Commitment to safeguarding and working with children.
Good physical fitness and ability to carry out manual work.
