The Opportunity:

Join a school’s summer camp programme as a STEAM Teacher and Monitor, delivering hands-on learning experiences and supporting student wellbeing. This role combines innovative teaching with supervision, offering a unique opportunity to inspire young minds in a dynamic and inclusive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, hands-on pre-engineering and STEAM sessions for students aged 9+.
  • Plan and adapt lesson content with the programme coordinator, ensuring alignment with learning outcomes.
  • Supervise and support student wellbeing, maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for 10–15 students aged 9–17.
  • Complete safeguarding training and follow camp guidelines, including health and safety protocols.
  • Participate in staff duty rotations, such as meal breaks, pool supervision, and night monitoring.
  • Support excursions, airport transfers, and staff meetings as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree in engineering, computer science, or new technologies.
  • Strong background in engineering and STEAM.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • English native speaker level (Advanced/Proficiency C1–C2).
  • Valid permission to work within the EU.
  • Criminal record certificate issued within the last 3 months.
  • Minimum age of 19 years.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in curriculum delivery.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and organise tasks and activities.
  • Creativity and ability to encourage innovation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and meet deadlines.
  • Positive, optimistic attitude and emotional intelligence.
