The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Summer Camp Residential Monitor and Medical Assistant to support student wellbeing, supervision, and medical care during our Summer Camp programme. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all students throughout the summer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent pastoral care for boarding and day students, ensuring their physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Enforce all boarding and school procedures, including sign in/out, mealtimes, bedtime routines, and medication management.
  • Ensure students are never left unattended, even during offsite excursions.
  • Support the camp nurse during weekday hours and assist with medical procedures when the nurse is absent.
  • Chaperone students on offsite excursions and follow all safety instructions.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and participate in evening activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and manage materials used during activities.
  • Work within a rota system, including evening, late, and overnight duties, and be on call for emergencies.
  • Assist with arrival and departure days, including family welcome and airport transfers.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Advanced or Proficient English (C1–C2 required).
  • Ability to provide excellent pastoral care and support student wellbeing.
  • Confidence in enforcing boarding and school procedures.
  • Ability to support first aid and health issues for students.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Completion of Educare child safety training and attendance at pre-camp training sessions.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and compliance with health and safety standards.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a residential or educational setting.
  • Experience in first aid or medical support.
  • Experience working with children in a camp or boarding environment.
  • Knowledge of the British or international curriculum.
  • Experience in a multicultural or international setting.
