As a Swimming Teacher, you will deliver high-quality swimming instruction to students aged 3–18 as part of the PE curriculum, while also leading engaging academy sessions for both school and community participants. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver structured swimming lessons to pupils aged 3–18 as part of the school curriculum
• Lead and manage high-quality academy swimming sessions for students and the wider community
• Support the development of individual and group swimming skills, ensuring progression and confidence
• Work closely with the Swimming Leader to maintain a consistent and effective swimming programme
• Promote participation and engagement in swimming across all age groups
• Contribute to the school’s efforts to grow swimming participation and revenue
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants during swimming sessions
• Maintain accurate records and report on swimming programme outcomes

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience teaching swimming to children and adults
• Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and safety procedures
• Ability to manage and motivate students of all ages and abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection

Preferred

• Experience in delivering both school-based and community swimming programmes
• Familiarity with curriculum-based swimming instruction
• Experience with teaching students aged 3–18
• Leadership experience in a swimming or sports environment
• Qualifications in swimming instruction or lifeguarding
