Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of the curriculum as guided by the Class Teacher
- Prepare and develop teaching materials and pastoral arrangements
- Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to support learning
- Assist in examinations, assessments, and extra-curricular activities
- Ensure a safe and stimulating environment for pupils, maintaining discipline and promoting positive behaviour
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
- Cover lessons and duties for absent colleagues as required
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience in a teaching or educational support role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage classroom behaviour
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Understanding of British curriculum standards and teaching practices
Preferred
- Experience with teaching students with special educational needs or EAL
- Knowledge of literacy development and early reading strategies
- Experience with assessment and data tracking for pupil progress
- Familiarity with using ICT in teaching and learning
- Experience in extra-curricular activities or school assemblies
