Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the curriculum as guided by the Class Teacher
  • Prepare and develop teaching materials and pastoral arrangements
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to support learning
  • Assist in examinations, assessments, and extra-curricular activities
  • Ensure a safe and stimulating environment for pupils, maintaining discipline and promoting positive behaviour
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
  • Cover lessons and duties for absent colleagues as required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in a teaching or educational support role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage classroom behaviour
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Understanding of British curriculum standards and teaching practices

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching students with special educational needs or EAL
  • Knowledge of literacy development and early reading strategies
  • Experience with assessment and data tracking for pupil progress
  • Familiarity with using ICT in teaching and learning
  • Experience in extra-curricular activities or school assemblies
