The Opportunity:
As a Teacher Development Lead, you will play a key role in driving pedagogical innovation and supporting the professional growth of teachers and trainers. This is an exciting opportunity to influence teaching practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of education outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver formal and informal CPD programs for teachers and trainers.
- Support the implementation of pedagogical innovation across the college.
- Mentor and coach teachers to enhance their practice and improve student outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Head of Teacher Development and Innovation to shape training course units.
- Facilitate and lead professional learning initiatives that align with the college’s strategic goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of development programs and provide feedback for improvement.
- Work closely with trainee teachers to support their growth and integration into the college.
- Contribute to the creation of a culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in teacher development, coaching, or mentoring.
- Strong knowledge of pedagogical innovation and best practices in education.
- Ability to design and deliver professional learning programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a further education or training environment.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or managing teacher development initiatives.
- Familiarity with teacher training course units and curriculum design.
- Experience with Ofsted standards and inspection processes.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range from £45,735 to £49,796.
