The Opportunity:
As a Business Studies Teacher, you will inspire and educate students from Year 10 to Year 13, with a focus on Business Studies and Economics. You will play a key role in fostering a love of learning and ensuring student progress through innovative teaching methods and strong student relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Business Studies and Economics lessons to students across multiple year groups.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students and families to support student engagement and learning.
- Act as a Form Tutor, helping students settle into the day and develop essential learning attributes.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the improvement of teaching pedagogy.
- Collaborate with Subject Team Leaders and the Collegiate Trust Education Team to enhance teaching and learning.
- Implement innovative teaching strategies and support student progress through continuous assessment and feedback.
- Engage in weekly CPD sessions and utilise additional non-contact time for pedagogical development.
- Support the school's mission to promote integrity, kindness, and a lifelong love of learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or the ability to obtain it before the role begins.
- Experience teaching Business Studies at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Commitment to student progress and academic excellence.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Economics.
- Experience with early career teacher development or mentoring.
- Familiarity with the use of cutting-edge IT equipment in the classroom.
- Experience in form tutoring or pastoral care.
