The Opportunity:

As a Business Studies Teacher, you will inspire and educate students from Year 10 to Year 13, with a focus on Business Studies and Economics. You will play a key role in fostering a love of learning and ensuring student progress through innovative teaching methods and strong student relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Business Studies and Economics lessons to students across multiple year groups.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with students and families to support student engagement and learning.
  • Act as a Form Tutor, helping students settle into the day and develop essential learning attributes.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the improvement of teaching pedagogy.
  • Collaborate with Subject Team Leaders and the Collegiate Trust Education Team to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Implement innovative teaching strategies and support student progress through continuous assessment and feedback.
  • Engage in weekly CPD sessions and utilise additional non-contact time for pedagogical development.
  • Support the school's mission to promote integrity, kindness, and a lifelong love of learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or the ability to obtain it before the role begins.
  • Experience teaching Business Studies at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Commitment to student progress and academic excellence.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Economics.
  • Experience with early career teacher development or mentoring.
  • Familiarity with the use of cutting-edge IT equipment in the classroom.
  • Experience in form tutoring or pastoral care.
