Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Computer Science across the full age range, including OCR J277 GCSE and OCR H446 A Level courses.
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote student achievement and a love of learning.
- Participate in the wider life of the school, including pastoral care duties and co-curricular activities.
- Support the development of the department and contribute to curriculum design and review.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
- Stay up to date with developments in Computer Science and incorporate new technologies and teaching methods.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Computer Science.
- Experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
- Ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
- Willingness to participate in co-curricular activities.
Preferred
- Experience working in the independent sector.
- Experience with OCR J277 and H446 qualifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership experience or a willingness to take on departmental responsibilities.
