Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Computer Science across the full age range, including OCR J277 GCSE and OCR H446 A Level courses.
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote student achievement and a love of learning.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including pastoral care duties and co-curricular activities.
  • Support the development of the department and contribute to curriculum design and review.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Computer Science and incorporate new technologies and teaching methods.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Computer Science.
  • Experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
  • Willingness to participate in co-curricular activities.

Preferred

  • Experience working in the independent sector.
  • Experience with OCR J277 and H446 qualifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership experience or a willingness to take on departmental responsibilities.
