The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Teacher of Computing to join our team on a temporary basis for one term starting in Easter 2026. This role will involve delivering GCSE Computer Science and Key Stage Three Computing to a motivated student body. It’s an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing department and help shape the future of computing education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in GCSE Computer Science and Key Stage Three Computing.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through innovative and inclusive teaching methods.
  • Work collaboratively with a supportive and experienced departmental team.
  • Contribute to the development of the computing curriculum and departmental initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Participate in staff meetings, planning, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the computing field and incorporate them into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in computing or a related subject.
  • Ability to deliver GCSE Computer Science and Key Stage Three Computing.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement.
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching in a high-performing school or department.
  • Knowledge of current computing technologies and industry trends.
  • Experience with using digital tools and resources in teaching.
  • Background in promoting student engagement and motivation.
