The Opportunity:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of learning across a broad curriculum. You will support students during teacher absences, covering lessons in a variety of subjects and managing classroom environments effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cover lessons across all departments, including core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science
• Supervise practical subjects including PE, Food Technology, Textiles, Art, and Design Technology
• Follow lesson plans and instructions to ensure effective learning
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive, safe learning environment
• Supervise practical activities safely and responsibly, adhering to school policies
• Adapt to different classroom settings, subjects, and teaching styles
• Respond positively to last-minute cover requirements, demonstrating flexibility and reliability
• Support and encourage student engagement and progress across the curriculum

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Flexible, adaptable, and well-organised
• Confident working with groups of young people
• Reliable and professional at all times
• Willingness to supervise a wide range of subjects

Preferred

• Experience in working with young people in an educational or similar setting
• Familiarity with lesson planning and classroom management techniques

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive salary range: £22,653 - £23,755
