The Opportunity:

As a Teacher of Geography, you will deliver engaging lessons and support students in achieving academic success. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a strong Humanities Faculty and shape the future of Geography education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Geography
• Teach across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including public examination classes
• Prepare students for examinations, including fieldwork, data analysis and exam technique
• Design and implement assessments with clear feedback to support student progress
• Contribute to schemes of work and curriculum development
• Maintain strong subject knowledge, including current global and environmental issues
• Use technology effectively to support teaching and learning
• Communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A degree in Geography or a related field, with a recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Key Stage 4 and/or Key Stage 5 examination classes
• Strong understanding of fieldwork requirements and assessment
• Ability to explain complex geographical concepts clearly and effectively

Preferred

• Experience with Pearson Edexcel GCSE Geography and Cambridge (CAIE) AS and A Level Geography
• Confidence in using technology to enhance teaching and organisation
• A passion for Geography and the ability to inspire curiosity about the world
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
