The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Travel & Tourism Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 4 and 5. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a strong Humanities Faculty and support the development of applied and vocational learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Travel & Tourism
  • Teach across KS4 and KS5, including vocational and academic qualifications
  • Prepare students for public examinations and coursework components
  • Design and implement assessments, including moderation and feedback
  • Ensure all students are appropriately challenged and make strong progress
  • Contribute to schemes of work and curriculum development
  • Assess, record and report on student progress accurately
  • Maintain strong subject knowledge, including awareness of industry trends
  • Use technology effectively to support teaching and learning
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues
  • Contribute to enrichment opportunities such as trips, enterprise activities or subject-based initiatives
  • Provide cover for absent colleagues and support exam invigilation when required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Travel & Tourism, Business, Geography or a related field, with a recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching KS4 and/or KS5, ideally including vocational qualifications
  • Strong understanding of coursework assessment, moderation and exam requirements
  • Excellent classroom management and high expectations of students
  • A passion for the subject and the ability to engage and inspire learners
  • Confidence in using technology to enhance teaching and organisation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development

Preferred

  • Experience with BTEC / Pearson or Cambridge (CAIE) Travel & Tourism or related courses
  • Flexibility, adaptability and a positive approach within a busy school environment
