Teacher of Law - Maternity Cover. Deliver A Level and BTEC Applied Law courses at a leading 16-18 institution.

The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and outstanding lessons on A Level and BTEC Applied Law courses
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through effective teaching and learning strategies
  • Prepare and use a range of teaching resources, including handouts, revision cards, and PowerPoint presentations
  • Monitor and assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments
  • Collaborate with the Law team to ensure a consistent and high-quality teaching experience
  • Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate
  • Participate in departmental meetings and staff development opportunities
  • Contribute to the overall success of the school through active involvement in college-wide initiatives

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in post-16 education
  • Strong knowledge of A Level and BTEC Applied Law curricula
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Law at A Level or BTEC Applied Law
  • Experience with newly and recently qualified teachers
  • Familiarity with using IT and digital resources in the classroom
  • Experience in safeguarding and promoting student well-being
