The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Teacher of Law to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis. This role will involve teaching A Level and BTEC Law courses and contributing to the continued success of our students as they progress to university, apprenticeships, or employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in OCR A Level Law and/or Level 3 BTEC Applied Law courses.
  • Contribute to the development and updating of teaching resources and electronic materials.
  • Support students in preparing for university, apprenticeships, and employment through effective teaching and pastoral care.
  • Assist with organizing and participating in external trips, events, and links with external speakers and institutions.
  • Support the department in mentoring students for higher education, including Oxbridge applications.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and evaluation of teaching and learning strategies.
  • Maintain high standards of student assessment and achievement through collaboration with the Subject Leader and team.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Law education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Law, with the ability to teach A Level and BTEC courses.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality lessons and achieving strong student outcomes.
  • Commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in mentoring students for higher education, including Oxbridge applications.
  • Experience in organizing and leading external trips and events.
  • Familiarity with using interactive audio-visual teaching tools.
  • Experience in updating and maintaining electronic resources for teaching.
