Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Psychology, following the AQA and OCR specifications.
- Support students in developing strong exam skills and a deep understanding of assessment objectives.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, ideas, and best practices.
- Provide individual and group tutorial support to enhance student progress and achievement.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods and digital resources to enhance learning experiences.
- Contribute to the continued development of the Psychology department’s strategies and curriculum.
- Supervise and support the Graduate Teaching Assistant in delivering additional student support.
- Maintain up-to-date and relevant teaching materials and resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant Psychology-based degree and a teaching qualification.
- Experience in teaching Psychology at A Level and GCSE.
- A commitment to innovative and student-centered teaching practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred
- Experience in both school and college sectors.
- Familiarity with the use of ILT (Information and Learning Technology) resources.
- Experience with developing and implementing new teaching and learning strategies.
- Experience in providing additional support to students through tutorial and group work.
