Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Psychology, following the AQA and OCR specifications.
  • Support students in developing strong exam skills and a deep understanding of assessment objectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, ideas, and best practices.
  • Provide individual and group tutorial support to enhance student progress and achievement.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methods and digital resources to enhance learning experiences.
  • Contribute to the continued development of the Psychology department’s strategies and curriculum.
  • Supervise and support the Graduate Teaching Assistant in delivering additional student support.
  • Maintain up-to-date and relevant teaching materials and resources.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant Psychology-based degree and a teaching qualification.
  • Experience in teaching Psychology at A Level and GCSE.
  • A commitment to innovative and student-centered teaching practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in both school and college sectors.
  • Familiarity with the use of ILT (Information and Learning Technology) resources.
  • Experience with developing and implementing new teaching and learning strategies.
  • Experience in providing additional support to students through tutorial and group work.
