The Opportunity:

We are seeking a part-time Maths Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive department committed to student success. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a rigorous and innovative Mathematics curriculum, working with a team of dedicated professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons to students at GCSE, A-Level, and Further Mathematics levels.
  • Support the development of a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages student achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan, deliver, and review lessons, sharing best practices and innovative teaching methods.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Participate in departmental initiatives, including mentoring, professional development, and cross-departmental projects.
  • Engage with students, parents, and the wider school community to promote the value of Mathematics education.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Mathematics education and incorporate new technologies and teaching strategies into lessons.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Experience in teaching Mathematics at GCSE and A-Level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching Further Mathematics.
  • Familiarity with the use of interactive learning technologies (ILT).
  • Experience in mentoring or supporting trainee teachers.
  • Experience in collaborative planning and lesson observation.
  • Knowledge of Core Maths and its delivery.
