The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of Psychology to provide maternity cover at KS5. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ learning and development, while contributing to a forward-thinking department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach psychology at KS5 to a range of abilities.
  • Develop and deliver engaging and accessible psychology curricula.
  • Support students in achieving their academic potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practices and student outcomes.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of new key stage programmes of study.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress regularly.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching psychology at KS5.
  • Strong commitment to teaching across the full ability range.
  • Ability to develop and deliver new key stage programmes of study.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching strategies.
  • Familiarity with the latest developments in psychology education.
