Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons that promote deep understanding and mastery of key concepts.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing targeted support and feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a supportive and innovative teaching environment.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives, including professional development, coaching, and curriculum development.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and professional growth.

Preferred

  • Experience with innovative teaching methods or curriculum development.
  • Familiarity with the use of digital tools in the classroom.
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on teacher wellbeing and professional development.
  • Background in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational environment.
