Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning by providing high-quality cover during staff absences.
  • Deliver lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and pedagogical values.
  • Maintain discipline, behaviour, and a positive classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure consistency in delivery.
  • Reflect on and improve teaching practices through regular coaching and feedback.
  • Support the school’s mission of fostering student achievement and character development.
  • Contribute to the school’s culture of inclusivity, innovation, and excellence.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching or learning support within a school environment.
  • Ability to plan and deliver lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student behaviour management and positive classroom culture.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work across different year groups and subjects.

Preferred

  • Experience in cover supervision or acting as a supply teacher.
  • Knowledge of the school’s values and mission.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar organisation.
