The Opportunity:

As a Teacher of Music, you will inspire students through engaging lessons and contribute to a vibrant extra-curricular programme. You will help develop students’ musical skills and support their academic, social, and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality music lessons that support student progress and achievement.
  • Set clear learning targets and assess student progress with regular feedback.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the music curriculum.
  • Maintain a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community.
  • Participate in school duties, performance management, and professional development.
  • Support students in preparing for examinations and performances.
  • Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme, including choirs, bands, and productions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in music education.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student progress and well-being.
  • Willingness to contribute to a collaborative and supportive teaching team.

Preferred

  • Experience in playing the piano or providing musical accompaniment.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to extra-curricular music activities.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching strategies and approaches.
  • Experience in developing schemes of work and supporting student performance.
