The Opportunity:
As a Teacher of Music, you will inspire students through engaging lessons and contribute to a vibrant extra-curricular programme. You will help develop students’ musical skills and support their academic, social, and emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality music lessons that support student progress and achievement.
- Set clear learning targets and assess student progress with regular feedback.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the music curriculum.
- Maintain a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community.
- Participate in school duties, performance management, and professional development.
- Support students in preparing for examinations and performances.
- Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme, including choirs, bands, and productions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in music education.
- Ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student progress and well-being.
- Willingness to contribute to a collaborative and supportive teaching team.
Preferred
- Experience in playing the piano or providing musical accompaniment.
- Experience in leading or contributing to extra-curricular music activities.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching strategies and approaches.
- Experience in developing schemes of work and supporting student performance.
