Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality science lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning
- Support the development and implementation of an ambitious and inclusive science curriculum
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure all learners achieve their full potential
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning
- Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate
- Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives
- Engage with parents and the wider community to promote science education
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and STEM-related events
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge
- Proven experience in science education at the secondary level
- Commitment to inclusive teaching and student achievement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering a broad and balanced science curriculum
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technology in the classroom
- Experience with supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Leadership experience or a willingness to take on additional responsibilities
