The Opportunity:
As a Teaching Assistant - Driver, you will support students and teachers in a dynamic and impactful role. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed both academically and personally. The role involves a mix of classroom support, community engagement, and travel, making it ideal for someone passionate about education and making a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in the classroom and in the community through 1:1 or group mentoring.
- Assist with the delivery of teaching and learning in collaboration with class teachers.
- Accompany groups on educational trips and ensure their safety and engagement.
- Help create and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support the assessment and documentation of student learning progress.
- Work with teachers to develop learning resources and environments.
- Engage with families and external agencies to support students' learning and wellbeing.
- Identify and address barriers to learning through partnership working.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Education to National Qualifications Framework Level 3 standard or equivalent.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with children and adults.
- Experience using relevant technology and equipment.
- A valid UK driving license, a vehicle, and business insurance.
Preferred
- Experience in working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Experience in safeguarding and child protection.
- Experience in mentoring or supporting disengaged students.
- Experience in working with families and external agencies.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary paid on the 15th of each month.
- 35 hours of paid work per week for full-time staff.
- Opportunity for permanent employment after the initial fixed-term contract.
