The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant - Driver, you will support students and teachers in a dynamic and impactful role. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed both academically and personally. The role involves a mix of classroom support, community engagement, and travel, making it ideal for someone passionate about education and making a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in the classroom and in the community through 1:1 or group mentoring.
  • Assist with the delivery of teaching and learning in collaboration with class teachers.
  • Accompany groups on educational trips and ensure their safety and engagement.
  • Help create and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the assessment and documentation of student learning progress.
  • Work with teachers to develop learning resources and environments.
  • Engage with families and external agencies to support students' learning and wellbeing.
  • Identify and address barriers to learning through partnership working.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Education to National Qualifications Framework Level 3 standard or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with children and adults.
  • Experience using relevant technology and equipment.
  • A valid UK driving license, a vehicle, and business insurance.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Experience in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Experience in mentoring or supporting disengaged students.
  • Experience in working with families and external agencies.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary paid on the 15th of each month.
  • 35 hours of paid work per week for full-time staff.
