The Opportunity:
A Teaching Assistant is needed to support pupils’ learning in the classroom and through small group or 1:1 sessions. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education and committed to helping students achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils’ learning in the classroom and in small groups
- Assist the teacher with preparation of learning activities and resources
- Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement with learning
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Contribute to pupils’ wellbeing and development
- Communicate effectively with teachers and parents
- Assist with administrative tasks as required
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A positive, patient, and caring approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organisational skills and flexibility
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Preferred
- Previous experience working in a school setting
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
