The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs and disabilities in a classroom or one-to-one setting.
  • Assist in planning and delivering individualised learning activities and interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure the needs of students are met.
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being among students.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all students.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently as well as part of a team.
  • Commitment to the ethos and values of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of SEND frameworks and support strategies.
  • Experience with curriculum planning and delivery.
  • A graduate qualification or equivalent.
