Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Class Teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging learning activities to individuals and small groups.
  • Provide tailored care and support to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Assist in classroom management and contribute to the assessment and reporting of pupil progress.
  • Collaborate in curriculum planning and the ongoing assessment of children’s learning.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support the overall learning experience.
  • Participate in professional development and continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of helping students reach their full potential through a culture of aspiration and growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Educated to GCSE Level C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills, along with strong numeracy and reading abilities.
  • A positive and adaptable attitude with a belief that every child can achieve well.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and building strong relationships with staff, pupils, and parents.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or learning support roles.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education and differentiated teaching strategies.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
