The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students in both mainstream lessons and small group interventions. This role plays a vital part in helping students reach their academic and personal goals in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students during mainstream lessons and in small group interventions
  • Assist with the delivery of curriculum content under the guidance of teaching staff
  • Promote positive behavior and create a safe, inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to meet student needs
  • Provide individualized support to students with English as an Additional Language or special needs
  • Monitor student progress and report regularly to teaching staff
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of learning strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student activities and progress

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A friendly and approachable manner
  • The ability to work independently and demonstrate effective behavior management skills
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people

Preferred

  • Experience and/or qualifications in working with children with English as an Additional Language or special needs
  • Familiarity with alternative provision and creative curriculum approaches
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
