The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in the classroom and through targeted small group interventions, particularly those with additional learning needs. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student progress and development in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support class teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities
• Provide targeted small group interventions to support pupils with additional learning needs
• Assist in the development of individual learning plans and track student progress
• Collaborate with the Prep School Head of Learning Support to ensure consistent support strategies
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
• Support pupils in literacy development and help them access the curriculum confidently
• Communicate regularly with parents and teachers to update them on student progress
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience working with children, particularly those with additional learning needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to supporting student learning and development
• Flexible and adaptable to changing classroom environments

Preferred

• Experience in teaching or supporting literacy development
• Knowledge of special educational needs and inclusive teaching strategies
• Experience working in a school or educational setting
• First aid or similar qualifications
