Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the school library, ensuring it is a welcoming and well-organized space for students and staff.
- Promote reading and literacy across all year groups through engaging programs and events.
- Assist students and teachers in finding and using library resources effectively.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to support curriculum delivery and learning outcomes.
- Oversee the borrowing and returning of library materials, ensuring proper care and organization.
- Monitor and evaluate the use of library resources to ensure they meet the needs of the school community.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and initiatives.
- Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant qualification in library science, education, or a related field.
- Experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in managing school libraries or similar educational resources.
- Knowledge of digital resources and library management systems.
- Experience in developing and delivering reading programs or literacy initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
