The Opportunity:

As Deputy Headteacher, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of a high-performing, inclusive school. This is an opportunity to lead curriculum development, drive standards across the school, and support the Headteacher in maintaining the school’s Outstanding status.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on curriculum development, assessment and whole-school outcomes.
  • Oversee quality assurance and ensure the school remains Ofsted-ready.
  • Drive high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour across the school.
  • Lead and develop staff through coaching, CPD and performance management.
  • Contribute to the strategic leadership and vision of the school.
  • Support the operational day-to-day leadership of the school.
  • Deputise for the Headteacher when required.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven track record in senior leadership within a school setting.
  • Experience in curriculum development and quality assurance.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and improving outcomes for SEND learners.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading school improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections and maintaining high standards.
  • Experience in developing and delivering professional development programmes.
  • Experience in managing large teams and complex school operations.
