The Opportunity:
As Deputy Headteacher, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of a high-performing, inclusive school. This is an opportunity to lead curriculum development, drive standards across the school, and support the Headteacher in maintaining the school’s Outstanding status.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on curriculum development, assessment and whole-school outcomes.
- Oversee quality assurance and ensure the school remains Ofsted-ready.
- Drive high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour across the school.
- Lead and develop staff through coaching, CPD and performance management.
- Contribute to the strategic leadership and vision of the school.
- Support the operational day-to-day leadership of the school.
- Deputise for the Headteacher when required.
- Promote a culture of inclusion and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven track record in senior leadership within a school setting.
- Experience in curriculum development and quality assurance.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Commitment to inclusive education and improving outcomes for SEND learners.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading school improvement initiatives.
- Experience with Ofsted inspections and maintaining high standards.
- Experience in developing and delivering professional development programmes.
- Experience in managing large teams and complex school operations.
