Key Responsibilities:
- Support class teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons to Key Stage 1 students.
- Assist with the planning, preparation, and organization of classroom activities and resources.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students to enhance their learning and development.
- Monitor and support students’ progress and behavior, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to implement the school’s educational and pastoral strategies.
- Encourage and support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth through positive interaction and feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with teachers and parents.
- Participate in school events and activities that promote the school’s values and ethos.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A passion for working with children and a commitment to their educational and personal development.
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred
- A relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a school environment, particularly with Key Stage 1 students.
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices and child development.
