Key Responsibilities:

  • Support class teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons to Key Stage 1 students.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation, and organization of classroom activities and resources.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students to enhance their learning and development.
  • Monitor and support students’ progress and behavior, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to implement the school’s educational and pastoral strategies.
  • Encourage and support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth through positive interaction and feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with teachers and parents.
  • Participate in school events and activities that promote the school’s values and ethos.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A passion for working with children and a commitment to their educational and personal development.
  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred

  • A relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a school environment, particularly with Key Stage 1 students.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices and child development.
