The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our Upper Key Stage 2 team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners, supporting them academically and pastorally as they prepare for the next stage of their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in the classroom, assisting with learning and behaviour management
  • Work with small groups to provide targeted academic support
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Help prepare and manage resources for lessons and activities
  • Support pupils during school trips and extracurricular events
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and curiosity in learners
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community through participation in events and activities
  • Maintain a positive and supportive relationship with pupils, parents, and colleagues

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in Upper Key Stage 2
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to the school’s values of kindness, honesty, and respect
  • Ability to build warm, positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting
  • Knowledge of curriculum requirements for Key Stage 2
  • Experience with pastoral support or child development
  • Enthusiasm for extracurricular activities and school events
  • Familiarity with inclusive and supportive teaching practices
