The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our Upper Key Stage 2 team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners, supporting them academically and pastorally as they prepare for the next stage of their education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in the classroom, assisting with learning and behaviour management
- Work with small groups to provide targeted academic support
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Help prepare and manage resources for lessons and activities
- Support pupils during school trips and extracurricular events
- Encourage independence, confidence, and curiosity in learners
- Contribute to the wider life of the school community through participation in events and activities
- Maintain a positive and supportive relationship with pupils, parents, and colleagues
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with children in Upper Key Stage 2
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to the school’s values of kindness, honesty, and respect
- Ability to build warm, positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting
- Knowledge of curriculum requirements for Key Stage 2
- Experience with pastoral support or child development
- Enthusiasm for extracurricular activities and school events
- Familiarity with inclusive and supportive teaching practices
