The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide maternity cover in a dynamic and supportive school environment. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with SEND students and a strong commitment to education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in the delivery of high-quality education to students.
• Assist with the planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities.
• Work closely with students, particularly those with special educational needs.
• Ensure the safe and secure environment for all students and staff.
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other staff members.
• Use technology effectively to support teaching and learning.
• Follow all school policies and procedures related to child protection, health, and safety.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Good standard of education (Level 3) with strong numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE English and Maths or equivalent).
• At least 2 years’ experience working with students with special educational needs.
• Ability to use technology confidently (computer, email, photocopier, etc.).
• Knowledge of child protection, health, safety, security, and confidentiality policies.
• Strong communication skills with both students and adults.

Preferred

• Experience in a school or educational setting.
• Additional qualifications in education or related fields.
• Experience with teaching or supporting students with diverse learning needs.
