The Opportunity:

As a Training and School Facilitator, you will play a vital role in supporting member schools through professional development and expert guidance. This position involves leading both online and in-person training sessions, working closely with MATs, English Hubs, and Local Authorities to ensure the effective implementation of the Little Wandle programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and deliver training sessions both online and in-person for member schools.
  • Support MATs, English Hubs, and Local Authorities in their work with the Little Wandle programme.
  • Engage with the Champion School network to provide expert support to other member schools.
  • Maintain and uphold standards across the Little Wandle programme.
  • Collaborate with the Little Wandle leadership team and admin support to ensure smooth operations.
  • Travel nationally and within specific regions as required.
  • Provide guidance and support to schools to enhance early reading outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in early reading and phonics instruction.
  • Strong leadership and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to deliver training both online and in-person.
  • Experience working with schools, MATs, or Local Authorities.
  • Commitment to supporting the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised programme.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with professional development or training delivery.
  • Background in teaching or school leadership.
  • Familiarity with phonics programmes and early reading strategies.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Strong understanding of educational policy and practice.
