Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons that engage students and promote physical fitness.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work that align with curriculum standards and student needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in PE, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student well-being and overall school initiatives.
  • Participate in staff development and training programs to enhance teaching practice.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events, including sports days and competitions.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in PE.
  • Experience in teaching at the secondary level (11-16).
  • Commitment to student well-being and inclusive education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with students with special educational needs (SEND).
  • Experience in developing and leading extracurricular sports programs.
  • Familiarity with the latest PE teaching methodologies and resources.
  • Experience with flexible working arrangements or innovative teaching strategies.
