The Opportunity:

A 1:1 Teaching Assistant Year 4 is needed to provide dedicated support to a Year 4 pupil. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in a caring and supportive school community, where every child is known and valued.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support a Year 4 pupil in their learning and development
• Encourage independence and a positive attitude towards learning
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for pupils
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members
• Assist with planning and delivering individualised learning activities
• Contribute to the wider extracurricular and pastoral life of the school
• Ensure the implementation of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Promote the school’s ethos of Courageous, Committed and Caring

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience working with children aged 3–11 years
• Knowledge and experience of supporting children with SEN
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures
• Strong organisational skills and a positive sense of humour
• Ability to remain calm and resilient under pressure

Preferred

• Hold a Level 3 NVQ
• Experience in a school setting with a similar ethos
• Commitment to professional standards and pupil welfare
