The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic A Level Economics Teacher to join a growing and collaborative department. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on student learning and contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality A Level Economics lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Develop and share innovative teaching resources with the department.
  • Support students through personal tutoring, monitoring progress and offering guidance.
  • Contribute to the school’s enrichment programme where possible.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the faculty.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and in-house training.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Economics and education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good degree in a relevant subject and a teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET).
  • Current or recent experience of teaching A Level Economics or a closely related subject.
  • A thorough understanding of Economics and its relevance to A Level study.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Willingness to upskill and continue professional development.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility and effective organisational abilities.
